How to get into a hobby that’s already growing immensely day after day is a normal question to ask as you enter into the hobby. Everyone will try to sell you something but finding a place that fits your comfort level that you can talk it up with people like you is vital in surviving. Anyone can buy a coin, but not everyone can buy the right one. This takes time and practice getting to know who’s a liar, theif, or just dirty in the game. There is not a lot of people in the hobby that are active but out of those that are there are about 10 I personally know I wouldn’t buy a thing from. Those are some of the people we will never support nor interview. |

Knowing what to collect is challenging. If you know police coins then stick to police coins. Or maybe you know Army coins better than anything else. To get going into collecting some cool things you need to come in on the ground floor. You need to learn the in’s and the out’s of what is for sale and trade out there. Jumping in an area of coins you don’t know can be a bad thing as you may not values of coins, or which ones are worth collecting and which ones are not. |

Being involved into a community is one of the strongest things you can have. People tend to learn and lean on each other often and most people come out better than if they went in alone. Some people are destined to never join a community and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a proven fact that those that are solitary in their hobby get much less enjoyment out of it as if they were directly involved. Community helps through support and a way to just interact. There are a limited amount of communities out there on the web and one of the best upcoming one we have found is from the Challenge Coin Trading site. If offers a full array of connectivity among collectors through groups, forum, messaging, and a traders section. This kind of closeness is key to making you smile each day as you get into another day’s worth of collecting. |

No one person can develop a world of collecting by themselves (although it has been tried so far) and this is why we encourage others to get involved with the hobby. When collectors pitch in everyone wins. So far this has been the weakest sectionso far, yet it’s one of the most valued areas for many to be able to read articles and comments that never existed up until a couple years ago. This is something YOU can help with the bring this hobby alive through your eyes. |
